Toya: Both of us realize that our friendship will never be the same. The issues that you have with Quad and the issues that you have with me are a direct result of you having diarrhea of the mouth. I know that I’m an easy target for you to blame anything negative, but we both know that Quad didn’t learn about that incident from me. Stop with the madness!

Over the last couple of episodes, several of the ladies have made comments that Quad is so different when the two of us aren’t together. How insulting. Quad is a college educated, successful career woman who is happily married. She has a mind of her own and cannot be manipulated. She is no one’s puppet or mouthpiece. Our friendship is not based on the two of us agreeing on every subject. It is not predicated that both of us have to like or dislike someone. As I have previously written, our friendship is based on respect. It’s sad that throughout the season these ladies continued to exclude her to events or gatherings because of our friendship. Every person has the right to be judged as an individual and the ability to make their own choices. I can only assume that’s not the case with Toya and Kari’s friendship since they both canceled for the dinner at my house after initially agreeing to attend. It would have been nice to have a final meal with ALL of the ladies before heading in different directions, but the olive branch that I extended was rejected.

Every circle starts at a specific point and ends at the same place. It was fitting that the last gathering took place at my home since that is where this journey begun. While some may not like it, best believe that I’m not going anywhere! And I’m not going to allow two bad apples to ruin the whole bunch. I’d much prefer to throw out the rotten ones and go pick new, ripe, shiny apples with A LOT more nutrients and A LOT less defects!
